Social media made everyone reachable and nobody available. pingr is the
opposite: you post what you are about to do — “momo hunt, 7pm, join me” — and
people nearby who are free can ask to join. No dating framing, no swiping on
faces, no group chat that goes nowhere.
Launching in Kathmandu. Android first. iPhone later, if the
Android app proves itself.
what it does
Pick an activity from ten groups — eating, exploring, sport, real talk, games, music, studying, shopping, making things, or a wildcard.
Post it as a ping, or as a plan for a day next week.
See what is happening near you, on a map and as cards.
Ask to join; the host accepts or declines. Chat opens once you are in, and closes a few hours after the activity.
what it will never do
Show your phone number to anyone.
Show your exact location to anyone you have not accepted.
