terms of service

Last updated 29 October 2026.

These are the rules for using pingr. By ticking the box and continuing, you agree to them. The words here are the same words the app shows you on the guidelines screen — if they ever disagree, that is a bug, and the address at the bottom is read by a human.

What pingr is

pingr helps you find people near you who want to do an activity together — a match, a meal, a walk, a workshop — and to arrange meeting up. It is a place for doing things, not a dating app, and not a place to sell anything.

Who can use it

Meeting people is between you and them

We do not organise the meetups, we do not attend them, and we do not check who anybody really is beyond a Google account. We do not verify phone numbers and we do not ask for ID. We cannot promise that somebody who says they are coming will turn up, or that they will behave well. What we can do is give you the tools: see who is hosting, read their pings, ask before joining, and report and block anybody who behaves badly.

Staying safe

What you must not do

Your account

You sign in with your Google account, so keep access to it. You are responsible for what happens on your account. If you lose access to that account, tell us so the account can be closed.

What you post

The pings, messages and photos you post stay yours. By posting them you allow us to show them to the people the app is for — the people near you, and the people in a ping you are part of. We do not sell anything you post and we do not use it for advertising.

Suspension

We can close or suspend an account that breaks these rules, or that makes the app unsafe for other people. Where it is possible and sensible, we will tell you why.

Changes

The app is being built, and these terms will change as it does. When they change in a way that matters, the app will ask you to agree again rather than quietly replacing the text under you.

Liability

The app is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for what happens at a meetup, for somebody not turning up, or for the conduct of another person. Nothing here removes rights the law gives you that cannot be removed.

Which law applies

These terms are governed by the law of Nepal, and any dispute is for the courts of Nepal.
